This site offers access to the "Forschungsstelle zur historischen Reisekultur," an institution within the Eutin libraries dedicated to the research of historical travel / travel literature. The collection of travel literature contains about 3,000 original editions and 2,000 titles in copied form or in microforms. The Forschungsstelle maintains three databases: 1. Index of German travel literature 1700-1810 (more than 11,000 titles), 2. Index of travel literature at the Eutiner Landesbibliothek, 3. Database of German travel literature of the 19th century (about 3,000 titles).
